After five of Meghan Markle’s closest friends gave an anonymous interview to People Magazine last week and spilled the truth about Meghan’s relationship with her father, Thomas Markle, the Markle family drama turned into a massive mess. Thomas responded to the interview by releasing a private letter from his daughter, and now a new report claims that Meghan is at her “wit’s end,” Prince Harry is “angry” and “upset,” and Queen Elizabeth is calling the situation a “nightmare.”
According to Vanity Fair reporter and royal expert Katie Nicholl, Queen Elizabeth “is super concerned” about the trouble Thomas is causing, and before Christmas, she asked Meghan and Harry to try and sort things out.

The situation has broken Meghan’s heart, but she has no plans to make a public comment.
“She cares for her dad, and has concerns for him and his mental health, which is one of the reasons she doesn’t want to comment on this,” a source says. “It’s a very complex, very emotional situation, and let’s not forget she is seven months pregnant.”
Thomas and Meghan have been estranged since her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018, after he was involved in a paparazzi photo-staging scandal. He then claimed that he had a heart attack and was physically unable to walk his daughter down the aisle, so Prince Charles stepped in. Then, after the wedding, Thomas granted several interviews and claimed that he had no way of contacting Meghan, and she had basically cut him off.
But, according to Meghan’s friends, the Duchess of Sussex wrote her dad a letter and begged her dad to let her and Harry live their lives “in peace,” and she also called him out for talking to the tabloids instead of answering her calls.
In response, Thomas actually released excerpts from that private letter. And, according to The Express, Kensington Palace is deciding whether or not to take legal action over the public disclosure.

Meghan’s friends have expressed concern about her well-being and are worried about what all of this is doing to her and the baby.
George Clooney also came to Meghan’s defense earlier this week and commented about her treatment in the media. The Oceans 11 star said that “they’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere, she’s been pursued and vilified.” He added that the media treated Princess Diana the same way, and this is “history repeating itself.”
“We’ve seen how that ends,” said Clooney.
