Mina Kimes 'dunks' on mansplaining fan with clinical Aaron Rodgers tweet

Despite her experience in the industry, ESPN analyst Mina Kimes deals with sexist replies and comments on a daily basis through social media. The latest one arrived as an attempted retort over Kimes' suggestion that Jacoby Brissett would be a solid solution for the Jets' quarterback woes following Aaron Rodgers' injury on Monday Night Football.

Kimes took to Twitter (recently rebranded as 'X') to respond to a user who took issue with her suggesting the New York Jets should seek a trade for Jacoby Brissett, currently backup QB on the Washington Commanders.

How Mina Kimes put a disrespectful football fan in his place

The user began his statement by saying "I'm so tired of ESPN pushing her (Kimes) on us. She knows nothing. She thinks Jacoby Brissett is better & worth trading for rather than keeping Zach Wilson?".

Then came Mina Kimes' clinical statistical rebuttal. Without addressing the demeaning portion of the tweet, she simply compared Brissett and Wilson side-by-side in three key categories over a two-year span: QBR (QB rating), CPOE (completion percentage over expected) and INT rate (interception rate).

The numbers spoke volumes. Brissett's QBR, 11th, CPOE, 2nd and is 7th in INT rate. An abysmal difference when looking at how Zach Wilson has fared over the last two seasons: 31st, 33rd and 31st, respectively.

Jacoby Brissett shined in several games last season for the Cleveland Browns, during starter's Deshaun Watson 11-game suspension. Now a Commander, it remains to be seen if the Washington franchise would be willing to part with their standout QB2.

Mina Kimes signed a $1.7 million annual contract with ESPN

Mina Kimes has paved her way into the sports broadcasting business with exceptional and colorful commentary, ever since joining ESPN in 2014. The Omaha, Nebraska, native received a job offer that year after writing a compelling essay on Tumblr about a "bond between herself, her dad and the Seattle Seahawks".

The network's decision paid off, as Kimes skyrocketed in the industry and quickly became a household name and inspiration for women in the sports journalism industry. So much so, that despite recent layoffs, she was able to secure a $1.7 million annual contract with the Disney affiliate.

Kimes, who is currently 37 weeks pregnant, is still doing live TV as she waits to deliver her baby. She recently posted a humorous IG reel in which she addresses what it's like to keep working on the tail-end of her pregnancy.
